The pairing code ran out

An assistant app says "That code doesn't match, or it is more than 10 minutes old. Ask for a new one in Settings › AI."

A pairing code works for 10 minutes, and only the newest one works.

  1. In Resibook, open Settings, then Open → beside AI in the AI & Automation card.
  2. Under Agentic, choose Edit (or Connect) beside the app. The sheet shows a new Pairing code.
  3. In the app, ask it again to pair with Resibook, with the new code, within 10 minutes.

You don't need to copy the connection details again. They stay the same for the same app until you remove it.

Resibook isn't open for an assistant app

The app says "Resibook isn't running, or its book isn't open. Open Resibook first." or "Resibook isn't answering. Open Resibook and try again." If your book is locked, it says "Resibook's book is locked or not open. Open it in Resibook first."

  1. Open Resibook.
  2. If it asks for your password, enter it and choose Open.
  3. Ask the app again.

Resibook must stay open while the app works with your books.

If the app says "This connection was removed in Resibook. Ask the person to pair again.", someone removed it in Resibook. Pair it again. See Connect an assistant app.

A row says it's a duplicate

When you bring in a statement, Resibook checks each row against what's already in your books.

A row under Flagged as duplicates. It matches a row from a statement you brought in before. The line under it says which, for example "Matches Sep 2, 2026 “STRIPE PAYOUT” $1,240.00 in september.csv (posted)." It isn't added unless you say so.

  • If it really is the same money, leave it there. It never posts.
  • If it's a different payment that only looks the same (two equal payments on one day, say), choose Keep, not a duplicate. It goes back into Review to approve like any other row.

A row that says "Looks like an entry you added by hand". You already recorded this money yourself, for example with + Add Transaction. The line names the day and the entry; choose the entry's name to see it.

  • If it's the same money, choose Reject this one. The bank row is set aside and your own entry stays.
  • If it's different, approve the row as usual.

A whole file says it has already been imported. Every row of the file is already in your books, so nothing is brought in. Check that you picked the right file and, under Statement for, the right bank account.

I forgot my password

With your recovery phrase

  1. On the locked screen, choose Forgot your password?.
  2. Under Recovery phrase, type the 15 words you saved when you turned the lock on. Capitals and spacing don't matter.
  3. Type a new password under New password, and again under New password again.
  4. Choose Open and set new password.

Your book opens, and from now on it opens with the new password. Your recovery phrase stays the same.

Without your recovery phrase

Your book can't be opened. Resibook doesn't keep your password or your recovery phrase, and neither do we, so there's no way for anyone to unlock it. A backup made while the book was locked is locked the same way.

A backup made before you turned the lock on opens without a password, but it holds only what was in your book on that day. Resibook's locked screen has no way to restore it, so write to us if that's the copy you need.
