Where Resibook works
Resibook is made to work in any country. It isn't built around one country's tax rules or forms, so you set it up for yours.
Any country, any currency
You can keep your books in any currency, each with its own number of decimals, and choose your country from the full list. Tax names, rates and the rules behind your tax summaries are yours to set. Resibook's screens are in English, and it runs on Windows 10 (version 1809 or later, 64-bit) and Windows 11.
Resibook never files
Resibook prepares your records, reports and tax summaries, and you or your accountant file them. It doesn't connect to any tax office, government portal or bank, and no tax authority has certified or approved it. Bank statements come in as files you download from your bank, in CSV, Excel (.xlsx), OFX, QFX, QBO, QIF, MT940 or CAMT.053.
E-invoices
Resibook can save an invoice as an e-invoice file in UBL 2.1, the format behind Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 and the European standard EN 16931. It can also read an e-invoice you receive and fill in a new bill from it. Saving a file never sends it, so you send it yourself, through your own e-invoicing provider where your country requires one. Where a tax office must clear or register each invoice before it counts, Resibook doesn't do that step.
Invoice numbers and corrections
An invoice number can never be used twice, and a voided invoice keeps its number, so the same number never appears on two invoices. A mistake on an issued invoice is corrected with a credit note or a void, not by editing it in place.
Keeping records
Many countries ask businesses to keep their records for a set number of years. In Settings › Records you set how many years to keep the files on your records. Resibook never deletes anything by itself. Until you set a period, a file on a posted entry, an issued invoice or another record can't be deleted for good. A legal hold stops every permanent delete, notes included. You can also save the Changes log as a PDF or CSV, or make a year pack of a year's records to hand to an accountant or auditor.
Your records are also tamper-evident. Each posted entry, each issued invoice and credit note, each void and each line of the Changes log is linked to the one before it, and Verify my records names the first one that was changed outside Resibook. Someone who rebuilds every link can only be caught by a period code, so write down or print the code you get when you lock a month or close a year. Attached files aren't part of the chain.
Before you rely on it where you work
Some countries require invoices or till receipts to come from software certified by the tax office, or to be reported to it as they're issued. Resibook isn't certified anywhere, reports to no one, and isn't a cash register or point-of-sale system. If a rule like that applies to you, ask your accountant how Resibook fits beside the system your country requires.
